Haden & Son Building Design and Construction, originally Wellbuilt General Contracting, was founded in 1984 in the quaint town of Combermere, ON by Andrew Haden-Pawlowski. Since 1984, Wellbuilt has come a long way. Primarily their focus has always been on design and construction of residential lots. Wellbuilt has designed and constructed over 100 homes on just about every lot type imaginable. From the beginning Andrew believed that designing the homes was essentially necessary because of the nature of the lots. He designed the homes to address the conditions of each specific lot, and to make the house fit exactly as the lot allowed. Each lot, especially in this area, has very different and specific terrain. Designing the homes allowed them to satisfy the conditions of the terrain, and to meeting their customers wants and expectations. Predominantly, Andrew focused on new home construction, but included a lot of renovation since the beginning. Until now, Andrew has always been the sole owner of the business, but just recently in August 2016, he passed on the torch to his son Joseph Haden-Pawlowski. As of August 2016, Andrew and Joseph began a joint venture and changed the name to Haden & Son Building Design and Construction. Joseph began working for his dad 12 years ago. Essentially he started working at the bottom of the company, as a labourer, until he grew familiar with everything and he began to move up. Now Haden & Son Building Design and Construction, is a sole proprietorship owned and operated by Andrew and Joseph.
